  • JoAnn Telemdschinow
    JoAnn Telemdschinow
    Visual Artist
I am a largely self-taught digital collage artist. Although I was always interested in art, I searched for a way to express myself until I discovered collage, and ultimately, digital collage. My collages are influenced by my love of the art and architecture of the past, but also by my interest in travel, history, and mythology. I select vintage texts, images, and textures, recombining them in new ways. I strive to make my finished pieces both visually appealing as well as atmospheric, evoking a specific mood.
  • Gail Thompson
    Gail Thompson
    Educator; Entertainer; Lecturer; Storyteller
Gail Thompson was born in Hawaii and currently lives in New Jersey. Ms. Thompson curates a Hawaiian History and Culture program as well as facilitates embroidery workshops for women. She graduated from Toastmasters International where she earned a certificate in public speaking. She finds her purpose in life is sharing her culture with others. Ms. Thompson is a proud Hawaiian, and hopes her lectures entice people to visit her beautiful homeland. The Hawaiian History and Culture programs include interactive demonstrations by the artist where she brings in traditional objects as well as a movement demonstration of the hula dance.(Please find the agenda for the Hawaiian History and Culture Program below) Ms. Thompson also facilitates a mini series of embroidery workshops for beginners. This is also a good class for women who know how to embroider but have not done so for a long time. Throughout the duration of the series, Ms. Thompson teaches students five embroidery stitches where they stitch a prepared design. The artist also offers an advanced embroidery workshop for anyone who has completed her beginner series. If you would like to hire to Ms. Gail Thompson for an embroidery workshop and/or for her Hawaiian History and Culture workshop, please make sure to email her @ quilt23lady@gmail.com.
