Janessa Cornell Urwin, American Repertory Ballet’s Wardrobe Supervisor heard from her stepsister, who works in a large health clinic outside Boston. Masks and other supplies were becoming scarce, and Janessa decided to put her sewing skills and extra fabric to work by making face masks to help with the shortages.
“We are always looking for ways to support our community,” says Julie Diana Hench, Executive Director. “During this time of crisis, our wardrobe department has shifted to making masks for health care providers. Our School is offering online dance classes, serving people of all ages in New Jersey – and all over the world. American Repertory Ballet’s recorded professional performances will also be made available, and will hopefully bring joy and beauty to at-home audiences during this difficult time.”
