Edison Chinese Chorus & Edison Philharmonic Orchestra

Founded in 2001, Edison Chinese Chorus (Xiangyin) is composed of over a hundred members in the chorus and more than sixty members in the orchestra, with over twenty professional artists. The Artistic Director is the nationally acclaimed conductor Chunhe Zhang. The repertoire spans traditional and contemporary Chinese and foreign folk songs, as well as a diverse range of classic choral masterpieces. The chorus is actively involved in serving the community, having hosted over two hundred performances, including the successful “2018 Wang Liping Global Tour New Jersey Concert,” the Mother’s Day concert in 2019, and the “Golden Autumn Concerts” in 2019, 2021, and 2022.

These events have received enthusiastic responses from the community and have been recognized with commendations from the New Jersey State Council, acknowledging the chorus’s contributions to serving the community and promoting multicultural exchange. In 2023, at the World Culture Festival held in Washington, D.C., Xiangyin Chorus led a Chinese singing performance by a thousand of people, showcasing the essence of Chinese culture to the world. Xiangyin welcomes music enthusiasts from all walks of life to join their ranks.
