Xiaofang Huangmei Arts Academy

The mission of the XiaoFang Huangmei Arts Academy is to provide a platform for training people who are interested in Chinese Huangmei Opera performing arts, one of the five top local operas in China. The Academy embodies a plurality of drama, dance, chorus, instrumental music, and qipao (traditional lady fashion) shows as a comprehensive form of stage performing arts. In addition, the Academy provides community services through a variety of artistic performances and local community activities by delivering professional artistic training in Huangmei Opera and qipao arts, through which the Academy strives to foster a better understanding and appreciation of Huangmei Opera – which is a unique Chinese grassroots opera, as well as a form of Chinese country music. On Oct 26th, 2019, the Academy will present a solo show to the NJ and the tri-states area society. This performance will be presented at the Middlesex county college theater and will last one and half hours. It will include singing and dancing.
